This specimen was lot 30521 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $2,702.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Anhalt-Dessau. Friedrich gold 20 Mark 1896-A, AU55 NGC. Very lightly toned with no obvious flaws- a rare one-year type." This type was struck 1896 only and is rare. Specification: 7.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: KM 26, Fr-3749.
