This specimen was lot 31006 in Heritage auction 3096 (Dallas, TX, March 2021), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alderney: British Dependency. Elizabeth II gold Proof "Final Flight - Concorde" 5 Pounds 2003 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. Tied for the finest certified with eight others at NGC, this issue celebrates the Concorde's final flight with a depiction of the iconic aircraft. From the Paramount Collection." Alderney was not granted the right to coin until 1989, and has used it only to issue NCLT's. This one honors the retirement of the Concorde after 34 unprofitable years.
