Sincona sale 57, lot 2721

This specimen was lot 2721 in Sincona sale 57 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$536 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Sachsen, Königreich, Johann, 1854-1873. 2 Vereinstaler 1861 B, Dresden. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Germany, kingdom of Saxony, John I, 1854-73, double union thaler of 1861, Dresden mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This one year type is not rare.

Recorded mintage: 730,000, fairly common.
