This specimen was lot 22412 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $235. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. Mining Taler, 1860-B. NGC MS-63. Sharply struck with frosty luster and quite attractive." This mining thaler of 1858-61 is fairly common.

Recorded mintage: 298,000.

Specification: 18.52 g, 0.900 fine silver, .535 troy oz ASW, lettered edge.
