This specimen was lot 845 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description^[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, gold bust 4 escudos, Charles IV, 1807 PJ, rare, NGC AU details / obv scratched, ex-Almenara. Highly lustrous surfaces in pale-yellow gold, fully detailed but with heavy marks behind bust, from a mintage of just 527 examples. Pedigreed to the Almenara Collection." This type is very scarce as is most colonial gold from Bolivia.
