This specimen was lot 23073 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. 50 Pence, 1975. PCGS SPECIMEN-65 Gold Shield. A boldly struck heptagonal Gem quality coin with bright flashy luster throughout." This type was struck 1969-2000. Ireland adopted the euro in 2002 and all this coinage is obsolete.
