This twenty centavos was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, a type issued 1971-78. It is common in all grades. The portrait is of Santander, not Bolivar as was previously customary. The SCWC assigns this issue a new catalog number but it is only a slight redesign of the type issued 1967-69 (KM 227) and that of 1969-70 (KM 237). This specimen is the 1973/1 overdate.

Recorded mintage: 41,440,000.

Specification: 4.5 g, nickel plated steel, 23.8 mm diameter.
