from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 11375

This specimen was lot 11375 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €105 (about US$110). The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 5 Öre, 1722 - LC. Stockholm Mint. Fredrik I. NGC VF-35. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1722 only but is not rare. Eight öre made a mark and eight mark made a riksdaler.

Recorded mintage: 66,000 with mintmaster GZ plus 314,000 with mintmaster LC.

Specifications: 3.51 g, 0.444 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, this specimen 3.32 g.
