This specimen was lot 1536 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY: Frederik VI, 1808-1839, AE 4 skilling, 1809. rosettes flanking 4 and below date, VF to EF." This is a one year type of a denomination emitted only occasionally. It is the last issued by the Danish king. A billon four skilling was also issued in 1809 (KM 276) but it is much more available.

Recorded mintage: 251,000.

Specification: 22.27 g, copper, 33 mm diameter, diagonal reeding.
