The first specimen was lot 1538 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY: Frederik VI, 1808-1839, BI 4 skilling, 1825. Initials JMK, light tone, About Unc." The second specimen was lot 24591 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[2] noted, "NORWAY. 4 Skilling, 1825-JMK. NGC MS-61. Nicely toned with strong underlying luster and good eye appeal." This is a one year type of a denomination emitted only occasionally. The previous issue was in 1809 (KM 276) and the next in 1842 (KM 311).
