This specimen was lot 2509 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €480 (about US$608 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, FRIESLAND, Provincie, AR Nederlandse rijksdaalder, 1618. Vz/ Geharnast bb. r. met zwaard en provinciewapen. Kz/ Gekroond generaliteitswapen. goede Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Friesland, silver Dutch rijksdaalder of 1618. Obverse: armored bust right holding a sword and the provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Good very fine.)"
This prince's daalder was struck for this province 1606-22, 1626-30, 1650-51. It is rare in nice condition mostly because it was wretchedly struck.
