from the Stack's Bowers 2024 ANA sale, lot 47734

This specimen was lot 47734 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 50 Ore, 1950-TS. Gustaf V. NGC PROOFLIKE-66." This billon fifty öre (KM 817) was struck 1943-50. Another fifty öre (KM 796) was struck in nickel-bronze 1921, 1940-41, 1946-47. This module was also used for the fifty öre of Gustav VI (KM 825), struck 1952-61.

Recorded mintage: 3,353,620.

Specification: 4.80 g, 0.400 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, reeded edge.
