Künker sale 335, lot 4216

This specimen was lot 4216 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,112 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REGENSBURG, STADT, 1/4 Reichstaler 1627, mit Titel Ferdinands II. Von großer Seltenheit. Dunkle Patina, sehr schön. (Germany, city of Regensburg, quarter thaler of 1627, in the name of Ferdinand II. Very rare, dark toning, very fine.)"
