This specimen was lot 1942 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE, Santiago, gold bust 2 escudos, Charles IV (bust of Charles III), 1804 FJ. Scarce date with a low mintage of just 544 coins struck. VF with light cleaning, some dark sedimentation. Pedigreed to the Ponterio C.O.I.N. '87 auction of May 29 & 30, 1987 with lot tag 741." This type is recorded for 1792-1808 but none of the listed mintages are over a thousand pieces.
