This specimen was lot 46259 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. 10 Pfennig, 1950-D. Munich Mint. NGC PROOF-64." This type was produced at four mints (Munich, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Hamburg) in 1950 in such numbers that no more were struck until 1966. The Munich mint mark was "D". The type was retired in 2001 but the last issue for circulation was in 1996.

Recorded mintage: 393,209,000 plus 1,000 proofs.

Specification: 4 g, brass plated steel, 21.5 mm diameter.
