This specimen was lot 23184 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $616.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 1/2 Kopek, 1852-EM. NGC MS-64 BN. Sharply struck with glossy brown surfaces. Exceptional quality and quite attractive." This denga or half kopek was issued 1850-55 from Ekaterinburg (EM, shown here) and Warsaw (BM). The denomination was reduced to 1.6 g in 1894.
