Stack's Bowers 2023 ANA sale, lot 57327

This specimen was lot 57327 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1 Kilogram "Aztec Calendar" Silver 100 Pesos, 2011. GEM PROOF. Number 812. Includes complete original packaging with display stand, loupe, informational booklet, and numbered certificate of authenticity." This was not the only hundred pesos issued by Mexico in 2011; there are six bimetallic "Numismatic Heritage" (KM 950, 951, 952, 953, 954, 955) from that year.

Recorded mintage: 1,500.

Specification: 1000 g, 0.999 fine silver, 110 mm diameter, 35.274 troy oz ASW.
