Revision as of 13:40, 31 March 2023 by LatinKing2020 (talk | contribs) (Text replacement - "* 1985 20 rappen" to "* 1985 20 rappen * 1985 2 francs")
The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Bern, Switzerland, starting in 1981. This denomination was struck in copper-nickel 1879-1980. Despite the numbing monotony of Swiss coinage (some designs have been struck for 150 years without change), collectors pursue this design by date.
Recorded mintage: 69,960,000 plus 14,000 proofs (common in all grades).
Specification: 1.8 g, aluminum-bronze, 17.1 mm diameter.
