This specimen was lot 32679 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $8,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Charles I gold Unite ND (1632-1634) MS61 NGC, Tower mint, Harp mm. An impressive survivor of this often well-circulated Unite issue, awash with soft mint luster and struck to an admirable standard, with the central details, particularly those upon the portrait, sharp and nearly full. An impressive piece, and the sole finest certified for the variety at NGC. Ex. Herman Selig Collection." This gold denomination was minted throughout Charles' reign in many varieties. They are not dated but the mintmark was changed frequently, allowing collectors to narrow the span of issue.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
