This type was struck 1850-68 in substantial numbers, tho it is scarce in nice condition. No half gulden coins were struck between 1868 and 1898. Curiously, while the half, one and 2½ gulden pieces were .945 fine silver, the five, ten and twenty-five cent issues were only .640 fine.
Recorded mintage: 3,000,510.
Specification: 5 g, .945 fine silver, 22 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 92, Sch-626.
