This type was struck 1850-67 in substantial numbers. No one gulden coins were struck between 1867 and 1892. Curiously, while the half, one and 2½ gulden pieces were 0.945 fine silver, the five, ten and twenty-five cent issues were only 0.640 fine.

Recorded mintage: 6,401,755 (second highest mintage date).

Specification: 10 g, 0.945 fine silver, .303 troy oz ASW.
