This is from a type struck 1872-81 with reduced silver fineness from the Bogotá mint for Colombia. The Bogotá mint also struck quarter décimos 1863-73 but switched to 2½ centavos for 1872-81. The Popayán mint stuck to quarter décimos until 1881.
Recorded mintage: 123,000.
