Netherlands 1827 5 cents
This type was struck in Utrecht and Brussels 1818-28. The 1827 is common. After Belgium obtained her independence in 1830, the Brussels mint continued striking for the new country while the Utrecht mint operates to this day for the Dutch government. When the denomination was resumed in 1848, the fineness was raised to .640 and the weight reduced to 1.4 g.
