Glarus 1811 15 schilling
This specimen was lot 4199 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$754 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Glarus, 15 Schillinge 1811, Glarus. Schräg gerippter Rand. Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Doppelprägung des Revers. Leicht gereinigt. (Switzerland, canton of Glarus, fiteen schilling of 1811, Glarus mint, obliquely reeded edge. Rare, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, Reverse double struck. Lightly cleaned.)"
This rare type is known for 1806-07, 1811-14. A tiny "B" mintmark can be spied on the knot of the wreath on the reverse. Fifteen schilling was forty five rappen; one hundred rappen made a frank.
