This specimen was lot 40762 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $2,585. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Poltina, 1860-CNB OB. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. A beautiful piece, with flashy luster and rich toning. Finest graded at PCGS and tied with one coin at NGC for finest certified." This type was struck 1859-85 and this date is not noted as rare, unlike the 1870.
