This specimen was lot 753 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 4 reales, 1716 Y, ex-Ponte. Full cross, off-center pillars, two clear dates, crude strike with much flatness and edge-crack, VG with black toning in crevices and slight surface porosity (possibly from the Princess Louisa of 1743). Pedigreed to the Luis R. Ponte Collection." This type was struck 1702-24 and 1728 for Philip V. The purity was debased from 0.931 to 0.917 fine in 1728 but the design was not changed.
