Sincona sale 84, lot 134

This specimen was lot 134 in Sincona sale 84 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$135 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 20 Kopecks 1776, St. Petersburg, SPB. 1 rouble according to Petrov. Very fine. Small scratches on obverse."

This type was issued 1766-76 from Moscow and St. Petersburg (shown here).

Recorded mintage: 223,000.

Specification: 4.77 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 4.36 g.
