This specimen was lot 201 in Sincona sale 75 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 12,000 CHF (about US$14,566 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Grossbritannien | Königreich. George II. 1727-1760. Guinea 1728, London. First young laureate head. NGC AU58." The young head was used with minor variations 1727-38. This, the first variety, was used 1727-28 and is quite scarce.
