This specimen was lot 2727 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Sixpence, 1728 NGC MS61. George II. Obverse draped laureate bust in armour. Reverse crowned cruciform shields with roses and plumes in angles. Mint state with a dappled of blue tone. NGC graded MS-61." This type is listed in various varieties for 1728-41. A heavily used denomination, it is common in low grade but scarce choice.
