Stack's Bowers 2015 NYINC sale, lot 3452
Denmark Stacks Jan15-3452r.jpg

This specimen was lot 3452 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $540.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Krone (4 Mark), 1695. Christian V (1670-99). NGC AU-53. Nice strike." This type is noted for 1693-99 along with Dav-3648A and Dav-3648C. It is scarce. Many would not class this as a crown, being too small, but it has a Davenport number so we will include it.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 17.99 g, 0.833 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM-428.1; Dav-3648; Sieg-51.1; H-99a.
