This specimen was lot 25402 in Heritage sale 3015 (Long Beach, September 2011), where it sold for $1,725. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 20 Pesos 1983, KM486, Proof 67 Cameo NGC, Proof only date with a reported mintage of 3!" This type was struck in Mexico 1980-84 but the 1983 is a proof only date. The portrait is of a Maya dancer.
