Saxony 1876-E 2 mark
This specimen was lot 2433 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,841 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN AB 1871 · REICHSSILBERMÜNZEN, SACHSEN Albert, 1873-1902. 2 Mark 1876. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Aus der Sammlung eines deutschen Fabrikanten und Geschichtsfreundes. (Germany, kingdom of Saxony, Albert, 1873-1902, two mark of 1876. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1876-80, 1883 and 1888 and is scarce despite the large mintage.
