Pomerania 1670 2 schilling KM-241
This specimen was lot 1203 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $188. The catalog description[1] noted, "POMERANIA: AR doppel-schilling, 1670, PCGS graded MS62, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type, worth 1/24 thaler, was struck 1662, 1666-70 while Pomerania was under Swedish rule. Other double schillings (KM 273, 247.1) were struck in 1670. Prussia nibbled away at the Swedish holdings until seizing the remainder in 1815.
