This specimen was lot 34282 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $493.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. City 20 Schillings 1736 MS62 NGC. A coin with gunmetal patina over bold raised detail and prooflike surfaces that enhance the overall attractiveness. From the Redwood Collection, Part II." This type was struck 1718-45, 1748, 1751-53, 1756-61, 1767-68 and was worth half a gulden or a quarter thaler. In 1798, the canton of Zürich was forcibly incorporated into the Helvetic Republic.
