This specimen was lot 31581 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. City gold 1/2 Ducat 1758 MS63 PCGS. An appealing lemon-gold example with bold detail and no significant flaws. From the Redwood Collection, Part II." This type was struck without change 1718-67 yet remains scarce. The earlier type of 1712-16 has the same Friedberg number but has a distinctly different reverse.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.75 g, .979 fine gold, .055 troy oz AGW.
Catalog reference: KM 139, HMZ-21162ee. Fr-487a.
