Stephen Album sale 43, lot 2362

This specimen was lot 2362 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT: Arab Republic, AR 5 pounds, 1993/AH1414, Ancient Egypt Civilization - Ramses II Statue, NGC graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." This NCLT is among dozens issued by the regime in 1993-94 to honor ancient Egyptian culture. Many of the designs were also used on gold fifty pounds.

Recorded mintage: 50,000 proofs.

Specification: 22.5 g, 0.999 fine silver, .722 troy oz ASW.
