Sincona sale 51, lot 2709

This specimen was lot 2709 in Sincona sale 51 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 2,400 CHF (about US$2,895 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Islamische Republik. 5 Azadi SH 1358 (1979). FDC. Von polierten Stempeln. (Islamic republic of Iran, five azadi of SH 1358. Uncirculated, From polished dies.)"

This type was struck SH 1358 only. Gold half, one and 2½ azadis also exist. The coins generally trade as bullion coins tho this one is rare.
