The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "SWITZERLAND | [[Switzerland, Fribourg|Freiburg/Fribourg]] | Stadt und Kanton, Halbbatzen 1798, Freiburg. Rare in this condition. About uncirculated." This type was issued 1741, 1746, 1751-54, 1767-74, 1787-89, 1793, 1797-98 with variation in shields. Whereas in most of the Swiss cantons 160 kreuzer made a thaler, in Fribourg 56 kreuzer made a gulden.
