This specimen was lot 25337 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $1,645. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 10 Pesos 1904 Mo-M, MS64 NGC, a gorgeous coin with prooflike surfaces and excellent eye appeal, a premium example for this certified grade." Mintage figures are not a reliable indicator of rarity for this type due to the accidents of hoarding; many low mintage issues are readily available while other high mintage issues are very rare. Despite the trifling mintage, this is considered a common date.

Recorded mintage: 694.

Specification: 16.92 g, 0.875 fine gold, .476 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: KM 413.7.
