The regular issue of ten centavos ranged 1898-1905 from Mexico City, Guanajuato, Zacatecas and Culiacan. This is the most common date. In 1905, the ten centavos was reduced to 2.5 g, 0.800 fine silver. The second specimen was lot 71401 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1904-M_ M. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-65. Variety without "o" in mintmark. Finest of three graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors."

Recorded mintage: 1,266,000.

Specification: 2.707 g, 0.903 fine silver, .078 troy oz ASW.
