Christian VIII. 1839-1848. AR 32 Rigsbankskilling – 10 Skilling. Altona mint. Iohann Friederich Freund, mintmaster. Frederik Christopher Krohn, engraver. Dated 1843 FK FF. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Dual denominated for use in Schleswig-Holstein. A gem with gray-silver patina. Only one graded higher in 66. Very rare especially this choice. Purchased from M. Louis Teller, November 1981." Danish currency endured several "reforms" in the nineteenth century. Until 1813, 1 ducat = 2 speciedaler = 12 mark = 192 skilling Danske.
