This specimen was lot 731 in Sincona sale 11 (Zurich, May 2013), where it sold for 12,000 CHF (about US$14,856 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DÄNEMARK Christian IV. 1588-1648. 2 Dukaten 1646. Sog. doppelter Hebräerdukat. Sehr selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Denmark, Christian IV, 1588-1648. Two ducats of 1646, the so-called "Hebrew" double ducat. Very scarce, good very fine.)"

This one year type is very rare, like the rest of the gold issues of Denmark during the period.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.98 g, .979 fine gold, .219 troy oz AGW, this specimen 6.92 grams.

Catalog reference: Hede 32, Fr-38, KM 140.
