This specimen was lot 507 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 26 (Winter Park, FL, November 2019), where it sold for $3,570. The catalog description[1] noted, "Potosí, Bolivia, cob 8 reales Royal (galano), 1690VR, ex-Trastamara. Attractively toned VF+ with choice full cross-side details but double-struck pillars side, holed near top of both sides, the cross side a match with Lazaro #228 (rated R3) but pillars side appears to be different, with legend ending in EL PE versus El PERV.
