Sincona sale 83, lot 5120

This specimen was lot 5120 in Sincona sale 83 (Zurich, May 2023), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$402 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND Zurich. Schilling 1741, Zürich. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. FDC. Verbrauchter Stempel. (Very rare in this condition, Uncirculated, Heavily worn die)." This type was struck 1725, 1730, 1736, 1739-51, 1754. Like many Swiss minors, it has a low catalog value. One thaler = 72 schillinge.
