This specimen was lot 3541 in Sincona sale 64 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$1,003 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Solothurn | Stadt und Kanton, 10 Kreuzer 1785, Solothurn. FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (canton of Solothurn, ten kreuzer of 1785, Solothurn mint. Uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"
This ten kreuzer (one-sixth of a gulden) was the last of its denomination. The monetary system was 4 pfennig = one kreuzer, 4 kreuzer = one batzen, 10 batzen = one franken.
