Shown is a copper-nickel 200 réis of the United States of [[Brazil]], struck 1901 only. It is accompanied by similar 100 ([[Brazil 1901 100 reis|KM 503]]) and 400 réis ([[Brazil 1901 400 reis|KM 505]]). It is much scarcer in nice condition than the SCWC indicates, despite the large mintage. Shown is a copper-nickel 200 réis of the United States of Brazil, struck 1901 only. It is accompanied by similar 100 (KM 503) and 400 réis (KM 505). It is much scarcer in nice condition than the SCWC indicates, despite the large mintage. The 200 réis gradually shrank until its abolition in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.
Recorded mintage: 12,625,000.
Specification: 8.02 g, copper-nickel, 25 mm diameter.
