Mexico 1773 real rev DSLR.jpg

Shown here is a 1773MoFM real, one of a type struck at Mexico City 1772-73. Assayer FM is recorded for the years 1772-77. This date earns a premium, not because it is rare, but for the inverted assayer's initials on the reverse, a feature noted for 1772-73 only.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, .098 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: Cayón-11328, KM 78.1.
