Künker sale 386, lot 5475

This specimen was lot 5475 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €2,200 (about US$2,843 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, Johann Friedrich, 1608-1628. 1/9 Taler 1624 (Jahreszahl im Stempel aus 1623 geändert), Stuttgart. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, Schrötlingsfehler, vorzüglich. (duchy of Wurttemberg, John Frederick, 1608-28, one-ninth thaler of 1624, 1624/3 overdate, Stuttgart mint. Extremely rare, handsome patina, planchet defects, extremely fine.)"
