Mexico 1902-Cn JQ peso

from Stack's Bowers 2017 NYINC sale, lot 7007

This specimen was lot 7007 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Peso, 1902-CnJQ. NGC MS-62. Small planchet flaw on obverse. Sharply struck, nice attractive smokey gray tone with hues of red." This date is known from Culiacan (shown here), Mexico City and Zacatecas.

Recorded mintage: 1,194,000, a somewhat better date.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
