This specimen was lot 234 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 4,500 CHF (about US$6,060 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, Rouble 1814, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB PS. Plain edge. Extremely rare variety. PCGS VF30. From the Soedermann Collection, auction SINCONA 12, Zürich, October 2013, lot 451 (price realized: CHF 10,000)."
This type was struck 1810-26 and is fairly common altho the increased demand for Russian coins, particularly the rubles, has greatly raised the price. This example is rare because of the plain edge.
Recorded mintage: 3,600,000 including assayer МФ and no assayer.
